Description of the Property

The region of Languedoc Roussillon is located in Southern France, close to the Mediterranean Sea. Within that region is the Minervois. This region has been producing wine for the past 25 centuries. There is great diversity in the soils – clay, pebble-like gravel, limestone, chalk and shale. The continental influence, along with the mild Atlantic and Mediterranean climate influence the grapes.

Marc Roman from Les Celliers Jean d’Alibert

Les Celliers Jean d’Alibert was founded in 1978 when a group of growers came together to form the Society. The group produces wines under several names. Les Celliers Jean d’Alibert produces Marc Roman. Most of the cellars are located near Carcassonne. They have been certified with the HACCP system which certifies strict controls for quality and the ISO certification for customer satisfaction.
Marc Roman is a blend of the prominent grape varieties located in the Minervois. The grapes are selected and then processed at low temperatures during fermentation to extract the good tannins to make a full-bodied wine and ruby color. It has a full mouth,
 with plenty of fruit aroma, bouquet and a long finish.
